1135 Rose Hill Dr, Ste 100Joey Conover has worked in Charlottesville real estate for over twenty years, in residential and commercial project management, property management and sales. Her years of experience in energy efficient construction give her exceptional insight into how houses are built, helping Sellers evaluate repairs and updates prior to going on the market, as well as helping Buyers assess the condition of a home under consideration and work with home inspectors and contractors to determine if the house value is fair. Her love of problem solving and communication helps keep clients on track and ahead of questions.
Born and raised in Downtown Charlottesville, Joey first became interested in urban planning in college while living in Spain, where she could live without a car. She learned to use power tools in back stage theater at CHS (class of 1997) and Live Arts and then built a cabin on the beach in Uruguay. She improved her marketing, finance and operations skills while fundraising for the Legal Aid Justice Center, managing renovation of the IX Project, and getting her MBA at the UVA Darden School of Business. She owns a construction business focused on modern energy efficient houses in the urban core with her contractor husband (Latitude 38), and now also maintains investment property that they build and renovate. Licensed as a real estate agent in 2014, Joey loves working one on one with her clients to find (and get!) the best spaces for their needs in a town she loves, while also making the home buying or selling process smooth and enjoyable. In her “free” time, she tries to make dinner for her two CHS daughters before their blood sugar drops too low.
